About the Team

Bee flying.

PPF is a competitive womxn's Ultimate club system based in Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, ON. Our values include: Community, Inclusion, Growth, and Spirit. Known for gritty play, pink shorts, and winning both on and off the field, PPF Ultimate is an excellent choice for athletes looking to play hard, challenge themselves and have fun along the way!

The Beginning

Long ago, in the fall of 2005, three women with the love of ultimate discussed the need for a local womxn's ultimate team in Southwestern Ontario. Several elite players were already making the trek to Toronto to compete on teams like Lotus & Capitals, so they knew that there were excellent players in the region.

They wanted to offer a local competitive option to foster an opportunity for womxn in Southwestern Ontario to play against top teams in Canada and develop players' skills. They decided to gather as many local competitive athletes to create a team for Montreal JazzFest 2006 as a "trial run". No practices, just show up and play! With this roster of just 12 women, PPF was born!

History

PPF quickly became a recognizable team in the womxn's division, thanks in no small part to our gritty, intense play in our bright pink shorts and purple jerseys.

Since its creation in 2006, PPF has established itself as one of the top womxn's teams in Canada, coming 1st (2014) and 3rd (2018) at the Canadian Ultimate Championships, and participating in the

Pan American Ultimate Championships (PAUC) that took place in Florida in 2019.

PPF and BEEs

BEEs is a competitive level touring team created in 2017 to help improve and expand the womxn's touring opportunities in South Western Ontario. As a feeder team to PPF, BEEs is filled with talented players looking to develop their skills and gain experience by participating in the Canadian Ultimate Series in 2018.

BEEs runs under the PPF Ultimate System and is a great opportunity for players looking to improve and grow, with the goal of working towards playing at an elite level.

While we’d love nothing more than to run our BEEs program every year and grow the sport of ultimate it is dependent on number and availability of players and leadership, so varies season to season.
